The PES welcomes the democratic movements lead by the civil society on the Arab world.

In the last years the PES has worked with progressive forces in the region to strengthen civil population rights. After the 'Arab Spring' revolutions, the EU must insure that the democratic transition is delivered and that financial needs do not endanger this process.
